Hello!
I’m Michelle!
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who is passionate about helping sport and tactical athletes fuel their bodies in a way that promotes optimal health and performance, all while fostering/maintaining a positive relationship to food.
-
As a former collegiate athlete who experienced the physical and mental toll of an unhealthy relationship to food, I focused the past five years to working at a Boston-based private practice, where I supported athletes in preventing and healing from disordered eating and eating disorders. This experience, combined with the unique perspective gained as a firefighter’s spouse, highlighted the specialized needs and challenges faced by first responders, revealing a gap in individualized nutrition guidance crucial for optimal job performance and overall health.
These insights lead to the creation of Ignite Performance Nutrition LLC. I specialize in sports performance based nutrition, relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S), injury reduction, disease and weight management, disordered eating, and eating disorders in both sport and tactical athletes.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. After working for 6+ years at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in various operational management positions, I returned to school and earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion and a Certificate in Sports Nutrition from Simmons University. I also completed by 1200+ hour dietetic internship at Simmons University that included extensive training in both performance nutrition and eating disorders. I am also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).
